This evening will give you access to one of our excellent OFHS advisors in a one-to-one session to ask for advice on any aspect of family history, and not just limited to Oxfordshire. OFHS advisor sessions are currently held in selected Oxfordshire libraries, the Oxfordshire History Centre, at our annual OFHS fair or indeed other fairs we attend, but using Zoom we can open this up and include many who cannot attend in person due to location or circumstances. It is hoped that we will have sufficient advisors that specific topics can be offered including emigration to other countries (Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand), records available online within Oxfordshire, using BOND, DNA, advice on family history programmes and many other topics.
If you think that this will be a benefit for you and are likely to attend please contact us at meetings@ofhs.uk with the types of topics that you are interested in and if you can provide us with details of advice being sought. Nearer the time we will link you up with an advisor specific to your needs. Sessions are likely to be 7.10pm to 7.50pm, 7.55pm to 8.35pm and 8.40pm to 9.20pm so please specify your preference in the initial email. If there are more than one attendee seeking similar advice, we may group you into a mini-session in one of the breakout rooms.
