Having found 83 records for the Gatwards from the Civil War period Terry was curious what effect the War had on these families. After researching the historical accounts of the War, he has been able to create stories for five Gatward Families. The talk will outline the research approach and the stories that link Family History and Local History. A significant family in these stories are the Gatward Coat of Arms Family of Wicken.
Based in Sydney, Australia Terry is a one-name study researcher of the Gatwards. Terry has obtained the Certificate of Family History from University of Tasmania and the Diploma of Family History from the Society of Australian Genealogists (SAG). He is also Treasurer of the Manly, Warringah and Pittwater History Society. Terry has written over 40 Family History papers on the Gatwards and presented at SAG events.
