There is a growing desire to digitise historical records, particularly within voluntary settings such as local societies and individuals working on larger projects. This interest arises from the aim to preserve and make accessible a wide array of historical documents, far beyond the scope of individual genealogy projects focused on a single family. However, the challenge lies in the technical expertise required to undertake such endeavours, especially for those without the resources of online organisations like Ancestry or libraries and local archives.
This talk aims to address these challenges by providing practical guidance on digitising and organising your transcribed data.
