Designed for beginners and those with some experience, these four courses build up a fundamental understanding of palaeography. Each course is stand-alone, but the four will also work together to reinforce existing and new knowledge, together with an understanding of the most common documents used in local and family history.
Palaeography 4 - Palaeography: taking it further [4 of 4; or standalone]
This course is for quite advanced palaeographers with some and surprising enjoyable documents that reveal further information about life at the time of writing.
Dr. Caroline Adams has a professional archives qualification and is a registered member of the Archives and Records Association. Until 2014 she was Senior Archivist at West Sussex Record Office, and is now a freelance archivist, palaeographer and historian.
