Chris Broom will share the inspiring story of a beach-man and unlicenced pilot, who saved more than 100 lives from the
treacherous waters off the Suffolk coast.

 

Meeting at Broadway House in Orwell Road on Wednesday 13 May 2026 at 1915 for a 1930 start.  There is a large, free car park (in the evenings) adjacent to Broadway House, the entrance is in Highfield Road, IP11 7BZ.

 

Also, FFHS will be in attendance at the Suffolk FHS Fair | Suffolk Family History Society on 9 May 2026 at The Hold, Ipswich 1000-1600 with free entry.

 

There is no charge for Felixstowe Family History Society members.  Felixstowe History and Museum Society members and visitors are most welcome; £3 payable at the door.  Membership details on our website.  Raffle and refreshments after the speaker has given their talk.
