This talk looks at theories of Migration, the effect of transport on migration, the effect of wealth and the reasons for migration illustrated with various case studies on migration based on Census stats etc.
Laurie has been engaged in Family History Research for over 40 years and was a Family History Tutor at Southend Adult Education Centre (20 years) and Birkbeck University. (2 years).
He was a long time standing member and committee member of the Essex Society for Family History and was co-founder of the ESFH Computer Group. He is also a speaker for the Federation of Family History Societies with various talks, and Group leader of the Warsash Community U3A Family History Group.
